After you have finalized your floor plans and sign a purchase agreement, the next step is picking out selections for your home! Homes by Tradition has a talented in-house designer that will help you every step of the way to make sure your home is designed exactly how you envision it to be. Here are a few important steps in the design process:
1) Gathering Information – When all prior steps are complete, our designer will reach out to our customer with questionnaires and important forms to fill out. Filling out this information will help us to get to know you better and help us make suggestions based on your unique lifestyle! Questions include homeowner’s lifestyle, favorite color schemes, personalities and much more. All these answers help us put together design concepts and set expectations for the process.
2) Inspiration Logging – We make a Houzz account for each of our customers to create an easy place to gather ideas. From online platforms like Houzz and Pinterest, to magazines and TV shows, there are unlimited places to get inspired and collect ideas for your new home.
3) Concepts – Our designer will put together a few design concepts to present to each customer. This approach helps our customer in the decision making process without overwhelming them with the endless amount of selections available. These concepts will allow our customer to start with an idea and modify accordingly based on their likes and dislikes.
4) Selections – A series of meetings will be set up to complete selections in groups. This allows our customer to be able to focus on each part of their home instead of working on everything at once. From exterior colors and doors, to interior wall paint and light fixtures, each selection can be made with confidence when working with our talented team!
Designing floor plans and signing the contract are two major milestones in creating your custom home. Choosing selections on your home make the whole process feel real! You will begin to envision the exterior facade of your home, the color schemes throughout and start seeing your family settled into your home. Our designer makes the process enlightening and fun while making sure you will be in love with your new custom home.
